Free Support Group for Immigrants Navigating Trauma, Fear & Community Stress

About This Group: Culturally Responsive Coping & Nervous-System Stabilization

A supportive, culturally responsive peer space for immigrants experiencing fear, trauma responses, or heightened stress due to immigration raids, policy uncertainty, and community displacement. No trauma sharing required, this is a skill-building and stabilization group. Sessions combine nervous-system education, evidence-based coping strategies, grounding practices, and practical tools to navigate uncertainty with greater emotional and physical stability. You'll connect with others who understand your lived experience.

Who This Group Is For:

Adults navigating immigration-related stress, fear of raids, cultural trauma, family displacement, or worry about loved ones' safety and legal status. This group welcomes immigrants from all backgrounds, visa statuses, and experience levels seeking community connection, practical coping skills, and a space where your concerns are understood without judgment.

Flexible Psychoeducation Sessions (Thursdays at 12:00pm PT)

  • Dates:

    • November 13, 2025 - December 18, 2025

    • January 8, 2026 – February 12, 2026

  • Duration: 6 weeks (75 minutes each)

  • Format: Open, drop-in, no weekly commitment

  • Commitment: No weekly requirement; join whenever you are available

These sessions are flexible and do not build on one another. You’re welcome to join whenever you’re available, and it’s okay to skip weeks. Each meeting offers practical tools for grounding, nervous-system education, and coping with immigration-related stress and uncertainty.

Structured 8-Week Group (Thursdays at 4:00pm PT)

  • Dates:

    • October 30, 2025 - December 18, 2025

    • January 8, 2026 - February 26, 2026

  • Duration: 8 weeks (75 minutes each)

  • Format: Closed cohort, structured progression

  • Commitment: Mandatory attendance for all 8 sessions

This group follows a cumulative curriculum, with each session building on the one before it. Because of this structured format, attendance at Session 1 and/or Session 2 is required in order to continue in the cohort. These early sessions establish the foundation, shared language, and trust needed for the work ahead. To protect group cohesion, participants may be asked to withdraw and join a future cohort if more than three total sessions are missed. This format is ideal if you want deeper consistency, routine, and cumulative skills for navigating fear, displacement, and ongoing stress.

Free Support Group for Those Impacted by the Verizon Layoffs

About This Group: Connection, Coping & Practical Tools After Job Loss

A peer-led support space for emotional stabilization and actionable coping strategies after sudden job loss. We explore the psychology of motivation crashes, stress responses following layoffs, rebuilding daily structure, navigating uncertainty, and practical pathways to regain direction and confidence. This group combines psychoeducation with community support, offering a reliable space to navigate this transition with others who understand it.

Who This Group Is For:

Former Verizon employees, recently laid-off professionals, and anyone navigating sudden job loss seeking grounding, community connection, and evidence-based strategies during career transition. No clinical diagnosis or prior therapy experience required; this group welcomes all who have experienced layoff-related stress, identity shifts, or uncertainty about their future direction.

  • Schedule: Every Tuesday at 9am PT/12pm ET, from December 2nd through January 6th

  • Format: Drop-in, open attendance, no weekly commitment

  • Commitment: No weekly requirement; join whenever you are available

These sessions are designed so you can attend at your own pace. Each meeting focuses on coping skills, motivation after layoffs, stabilizing routines, and grounding strategies. Sessions do not build on each other, so you won’t fall behind if you skip a week.

Structured 8-Week Group (Thursdays at 12pm PT)

  • Schedule: Every Thursday at 12pm PT/3pm ET, from January 8th through February 26th

  • Format: Closed, structured weekly group

  • Duration: 75 minutes

  • Commitment: Mandatory attendance for all 8 sessions

This group is designed as a progressive, skills-building program. Each session builds on the last, forming one cohesive learning and practice sequence. Because of this, attendance is required weekly. To protect group cohesion, participants may be asked to withdraw and join a future cohort if more than three total sessions are missed. Participants who miss two or more sessions will be asked to withdraw so the group can stay aligned and consistent.

  • No. Participation is flexible and low-pressure. You never need to share anything you don’t want to. These groups focus on education and coping skills, not disclosure.

  • Just a device with internet access and the ability to join a secure video link. You can participate by mobile phone, tablet, or computer.
