Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
Transparent self-pay pricing for online therapy in CA & VA. Request a Good Faith Estimate before care and receive a written estimate based on your plan.
I provide ACT‑led, trauma‑informed online therapy for adults in California and Virginia. As a self‑pay practice, I’m committed to transparent, upfront pricing. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected costs of non‑emergency items and services.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You may request a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you schedule a service and any time during care.
You’ll receive a written estimate before your first appointment and when the treatment plan or fees change.
Keep a copy of your estimate for your records.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate for the same items/services, you can start a patient–provider dispute resolution process.
This page is informational and does not replace the detailed GFE you’ll receive directly from me before care begins. If you have questions, please contact me.

Requesting & Receiving Your Estimate
How it works:
Free consultation (15 minutes): We discuss goals, fit, and next steps.
If you choose to proceed: I’ll provide a written Good Faith Estimate before your first session, reflecting the expected number of sessions and the associated costs based on your goals and preferences.
During care: If we adjust frequency, duration, or approach, I’ll issue an updated estimate.
Where you’ll receive the GFE: via a secure method (EHR portal or encrypted delivery) prior to treatment.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate for the same items/services, you can initiate a patient–provider dispute.
Keep your estimate and any related communications.
Contact me promptly so we can review and resolve any discrepancies.
Important Notes & Disclaimers
A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain services.
It is based on the information known at the time and may change if your needs or preferences change.
I’m a self‑pay (insurance‑free) practice. Superbills are available upon request for potential out‑of‑network (OON) reimbursement; coverage varies by plan.
Telehealth is provided with documented informed consent at your first appointment (risks, benefits, privacy, and alternatives reviewed per CA & VA requirements).
