I'm Dr. Sheila Vidal, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Next Mission Recovery, where I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults.
Choose Your Region
Online therapy is available throughout California and Virginia, even if your city is not listed below. Choose the regional page that best matches your part of the state for the closest local context.
If more than one page seems to fit, choose whichever best matches your area. The regional pages differ in local context rather than in the therapy itself.

How I Work
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is my primary approach, and it is evidence-based. I use it to help you respond more flexibly to difficult thoughts, emotions, and memories while moving toward what matters to you. When relevant, I also draw on CBT, CPT, Prolonged Exposure, mindfulness, and grounding.
